Paffuto began as a joint idea between three friends, Jake Loeffler, Sam Kalkut, and Danny Griffiths, taking their training at the CIA and many years in restaurants, namely Laurel, Jean-Georges Philadelphia, Vernick Fish, Boka, Kensington Quarters, and Fork.
We have moved into our space in South Philadelphia, formerly Chef Pierre Calmels’s Bibou, at 1009 S 8th ST in Bella Vista. “All three of us grew up with Italian culture, so it was obvious for us to make Paffuto an Italian-focused concept,” said Griffiths. “Both Jake and myself have families from Southern Italy, which was a common thread for us, and Sam’s dad grew up in the Bronx, so all three of our lives featured a ton of Italian food growing up and to this day.”
We are now committed to creating the most hospitable, welcoming space while serving delicious food and excellent beverages. We look forward to seeing you.
